Converse has really been giving me reason to change my mind on finally coping a pair to make it my first official ones to collect. And it always seems that when the shoes are being produced for some type of charity, that they really put that strong designed theme into the shoe.

This iconic version sports a red leather upper that has been inspired by Motorcycle Jackets. It even goes as far as to include zippers that actually open and close the back heel of the shoe. The Eyelet Strip also stays true to the bike theme by having unzippable zippers in the middle. That would’ve been kool if it did, but it’s great the way it is.

The shoe also boasts a quilted lining along with a white leather midsole that is decorated with some nice stitching and detailing. If you like what you see, and you should, they will be available for purchase on World AIDS Day, which is December 1st, at the (RED) store locations, as well as on Converse.com and other select Converse retailers.

As always, a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Global Fund’s efforts to fight AIDS in Africa. With such a cause, you will have an even greater story to tell about these kicks when you wear them, and or pull them out of your closet.
